Wae Rebo Village Tour
The Wae Rebo Village Tour is a special package to visit one of the most remote traditional villages and cultural tourism destinations in Manggarai Regency. This village is located at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level. In this village, there are only seven traditional houses called Mbaru Niang (Traditional Houses). Wae Rebo Village is 1,200 years old and has now reached its 20th generation, with each generation lasting about 60 years.
In August 2012, UNESCO declared Wae Rebo as a world cultural heritage site, together with 42 other countries. Administratively, Wae Rebo is part of Satar Mese District, Manggarai Regency. To tour this village, you will travel from Labuan Bajo for about 4–5 hours to Denge Village, and from there continue with a trekking journey for about 3–4 hours.
